DIRECTED BY-: Clyde Geronimi Wilfred Jackson Hamilton Luske STARRING-: Kathryn Beaumont Ed Wynn Richard Haydn YEAR OF RELEASE-: 1951 PREMISE-: On a golden afternoon, young Alice follows a White Rabbit, who disappears down a nearby rabbit hole. Quickly following him, she tumbles into the burrow and enters the merry, topsy-turvy world of Wonderland.
THE PROBLEMS-:
I wish there was more connective tissue joining the various quirky events and characters so that we got ONE compact storyline, instead of having several tangential elements that either aren't concluded satisfactorily or aren't concluded at all.
It became a bit hard for me to be invested in anything because nothing in the plot made sense.
A few uninteresting characters like the ‘’flowers’’ made the film dull in some moments.
THE POSITIVES-:
The animation is excellent.
The voice performances are very good.
The soundtrack is decent.
The humor lands well for the most part thanks to the tongue-in-cheek dialogues, the brilliant voice performances, and weird but enjoyable characters.
