THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS.

THE PROBLEMS-:

  • Why was there no one on gate duty when Jayden managed to escape?
  • It is convenient that Grace learns about Jayden’s abusive father JUST THE NIGHT before her father takes her away.
  • It is convenient that Jayden’s father picked her up at NIGHT, when Grace wasn't present to confront him.
  • Why was the key to Jayden’s house still outside and under the foot mat when She and her father were already inside the house?
  • It is convenient that Jayden’s father was asleep when Grace decided to show up.
  • It is convenient that Marcus decided to slit his wrist in the day and not in the NIGHT - the time when most of the workers, including Grace, would not have been present to help.
  • Marcus deciding to slit his wrist and Grace learning about the fact that Jayden has been picked up by her father COINCIDENTALLY happens on the SAME day, which conveniently fills Grace up with emotions and a motivation to help Jayden.

THE POSITIVES-:

  • The characterization of the protagonists and some of the secondary characters was good.
  • The performances were great and felt very authentic.
  • The direction, camerawork and cinematography were all decent.
  • Some of the emotional moments were executed very nicely.
 RATING -: 7/10
