The peanut butter falcon
THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS.
THE PROBLEMS-:
- In the beginning, Tyler CONVENIENTLY arrives at just the right time to save Zak from drowning after some mean kids force him to dive into the river.
- Tyler and Eleanor COINCIDENTALLY meet in the grocery shop.
- Tyler and Zak LUCKILY run into a blind, christian, and kind man who provides them all kinds of supplies to build a raft.
- Eleanor is CONVENIENTLY able to find Tyler and Zak on the beach JUST BEFORE they can further set out on their journey. If she had been even a few minutes late, she probably would never have been able to catch up to them.
- Even though they've met only ONCE previously (through a coincidence), Eleanor is a bit too trusting of Tyler and doesn’t IMMEDIATELY call the care home to inform that Zak has been found. She conveniently only does so AFTER they have all bonded a little.
- How did Duncan and Ratboy know exactly which path to follow to get to Tyler?
- A friend of Duncan and Ratboy is COINCIDENTALLY present at Zak's wrestling match.
- Samson, for SOME reason, just turns into a jerk in the end even though he was previously shown to be really supportive towards Zak.
- If Eleanor had a problem with Zak competing in the overly aggressive wrestling match, then instead of sitting and waiting in the car, why didn’t she express her concern in the garage area where Clint and Tyler were motivating Zak ?
- LUCKILY for Tyler, there are handcuffs present in the car which enable him to restrain Eleanor for a while.
- Eleanor CONVENIENTLY does not feel Tyler putting on the handcuffs on her hand.
- Eleanor LUCKILY finds a plier in the car, which she uses to cut her handcuffs.
- LUCKILY for Duncan, Eleanor is not able to cut her handcuffs in time to warn Tyler of the incoming attack.
- Tyler conveniently gets knocked out by Duncan AT THE SAME TIME Zak finishes his winning move.
THE POSITIVES-:
- The Performances were all great.
- The soundtrack was serviceable and was used appropriately.
- The characterization of the two central characters was very good.
- The pacing, dialogues, costumes, set design, cinematography and camera work were all good.
- The emotional moments were executed decently.
- The interactions between Tyler and Zak and the development of a brotherly bond between them was done beautifully and satisfyingly.
RATING -: 6/10
