THE NEGATIVES-:
- Johanna CONVENIENTLY runs away from Mr. Boudlin’s house JUST AFTER Kidd is done reading the news.
- The Kiowa tribe ACCIDENTALLY happen to pass through the area when Johanna runs away from Mr.Boudlin's house. The tribe also CONVENIENTLY happen to travel at distance from which they aren't able to hear Johanna's screams.
- During the face off between Captain Kidd and the three perverts (the men who force Kidd to sell Johanna to them), LUCKILY, no-one notices Johanna going to the horse-cart and grabbing the can of coins.
- Mr.Farley CONVENIENTLY takes only ONE of his goons with him to catch Captain Kidd and Johanna.
- John Calley LUCKILY arrives AT JUST THE RIGHT TIME to save Kidd's and Johanna's life.
- Kidd and Johanna ACCIDENTALLY loose their horses.
- Captain Kidd and Johanna get to visit Johanna's real parents' house after a tire of their horse-cart ACCIDENTALLY breaks down at JUST THE RIGHT POINT on the road.
- During the sandstorm, Kidd and Johanna ACCIDENTALLY run into the Kiowa tribe.
THE POSITIVES-: - The performances by Tom Hanks and Helena Zengel were excellent.
- The characterization of the protagonist was good and meshed well with the plot.
- The cinematography was gorgeous.
- The action / adventure scenes were shot well.
- The soundtrack was good and was used appropriately.
